Privacy policy

Last updated 29 October 2026

Your privacy matters to us, and that's why phone numbers are never published on listings. Here's what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how BuilderFloor.in collects and uses personal data when you use our website and services. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Contact us at info@builderfloor.in.

2. What we collect

  • Details you give us: name, phone number, email address, and the content of enquiries, site visit requests and listing requests
  • Listing information: property details, photos and documents shared for verification
  • For agents: RERA registration details
  • Technical data: device and browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected through standard server logs and analytics

3. How we use it

  • To pass your enquiry or site visit request to the relevant owner, builder or agent, and to arrange visits
  • To review and verify listings and agent registrations
  • To reply to you and provide support
  • To prevent fraud, spam and misuse of the platform
  • To improve the platform and understand how it is used

We only use your data for these purposes, and we do not sell personal data.

4. Who we share it with

Your phone number and email are not published on listings. When you send an enquiry or visit request, we share the details needed with the relevant Lister, and only once you've agreed to be contacted by them.

We use trusted service providers, for example hosting, email and messaging (such as WhatsApp), who process data on our behalf. We may disclose data when required by law or to protect our users and platform.

5. Documents shared for verification

Property documents are used only to verify the listing. They are not published, and we keep them only as long as the listing is active or as required by law.

6. Retention and security

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise your rights. Email info@builderfloor.in and we'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and may use analytics cookies to understand usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work.

9. Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
